Mystique has been belly dancing since 1996. This Long Island
performer has studied under such local greats as Sasha, Lynn Lucas Langer
and Aviva! Her background is in the
American Cabaret style of belly dance as well as in Hula and Polynesian dance.
This diverse background has led her to develop a Cabaret fusion style of belly
dance with an emphasis on drama, technique and fun.
Her dance credits include performing at community events,
libraries, renaissance fairs and nursing homes. She has also danced at Rakkasah East, appeared on News 12 and has run belly dance programming at ICON. In 2007 she
founded the Desert Wind Dance Group and has established an annual day
of belly dance workshops and the Evening
at the Oasis showcase for the local belly dance community. Currently
Mystique teaches at Emilia’s Dance Studio in Commack as well as at public
libraries.
Mystique is
available to perform and teach belly dancing at community events, nursing homes
and libraries.
