On Saturday June 25^th 2011 Mystique presents…

a day of prop-centric workshops and an evening dance showcase!

During the Day…BellyCon 2011

9:00 – Doors open

9:30 – 11:00am – Workshop 1 – Cane with Mystique

In this fun and upbeat workshop learn cane moves and combinations. This workshop is great for those looking to become more familiar with this traditional prop. – Canes available for purchase upon request.

11:00 – 12:30am – Workshop 2 – Fusion Poi with Kanani – Kanani will teach the basics of poi dancing and how it can add Polynesian flair to your belly dance routines. Student poi sets are available for purchase upon reques

12:30 – 1:30am – Workshop 3 –Belly Dancing for Beginners with Llandra - This is the perfect class for the person who wants to start belly dancing. Stretching, basic steps and combinations will be presented.

1:30 – 2:15 – Break and shopping! – Run out for a quick bite to eat and browse our venders.

2:15 – 4:15pm – Workshop 3 – Learn the Power of the Sword with ISIS - Become a Warrior Goddess ~ Learn how to wield 2 swords at the same time! Combined with technique, shimmy combo's, snake dancing and tribal upper body movement~~all while balancing a sword on your head. This workshop will include sword balancing on your hip, stomach, chest, and shoulders. (Bellydance experience is required to take this class.)

During the evening …a Hafla

7pm – 10pm – An Evening at the Oasis Dance Showcase

Featuring: Isis, Kanani, Llandra, Mystique, the Desert Wind Dancers and more

with Special Guests: JeniViva and the Mystic HipsTribe!

To Dance in the Show – All dancers who have registered and paid for a least one workshop and a hafla ticket are also invited to dance in the show as space permits. All dancers must limit their routine to 6 minutes in length. Priority for a place in the program will be on a first come, first served basis. Telephone calls will be accepted to reserve a place on the performer’s list. However, a paid pre-registration by the deadline date will be the only confirmation for a spot in the program.
